Terms of Service
These terms ("Terms") govern your use of ForgeFit ("the app", "we", "us"), an iOS fitness tracking application developed by Campbell Blair. By creating an account or using the app you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. The service
ForgeFit is a workout logger and AI-assisted training planner. Core features include exercise logging, training plans, progress tracking, achievements, and AI-generated workout suggestions. We may add, change, or remove features at any time.
2. Your account
- You must be 16 or older to use ForgeFit.
- You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for everything that happens under your account.
- The information you provide (email, name, fitness data) must be accurate.
- One account per person. Don't share login credentials.
3. Subscriptions and payments
- Some features require a paid subscription, billed monthly or annually via Stripe (or Apple's App Store, where applicable).
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the end of the current billing period.
- You can cancel any time from Settings → Subscription in the app, or from your Apple ID settings if billed via the App Store. Cancellation stops the next renewal — it does not refund the current period.
- We may change pricing with at least 30 days' notice. Price changes do not apply to a billing period you've already paid for.
- All prices are in USD unless stated otherwise. Local taxes (GST, VAT, sales tax) may apply.
4. AI-generated content
ForgeFit uses third-party AI models (currently Anthropic's Claude) to generate workout plans, coaching responses, and progression suggestions. AI output is generated automatically and may contain mistakes. It is not medical, fitness, or professional advice. You are responsible for deciding whether any AI suggestion is safe and appropriate for you. If you have an injury, condition, or are unsure, consult a qualified coach or healthcare professional before acting on AI output.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the app for anything illegal.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract data from the app or our servers, except where the law expressly allows it.
- Submit content that is unlawful, abusive, infringing, or that you don't have the rights to.
- Use prompt injection or other techniques to manipulate the AI into producing harmful, deceptive, or off-policy output.
- Interfere with the app's operation, send malware, or attempt to overwhelm our servers.
- Resell, sublicense, or commercialise access to ForgeFit without our written permission.
6. Intellectual property
We own the ForgeFit name, logo, app code, and all content we produce. You own the workout data, photos, and notes you log. By using the app you grant us a limited licence to store and process your content as needed to operate the service (e.g. syncing across devices, generating AI suggestions). We don't claim any other rights to your data.
7. Health disclaimer
Strength training carries inherent risk. ForgeFit is a tracking and planning tool — it is not a substitute for a coach, doctor, or physiotherapist. Train within your ability. Stop if something hurts. If you are pregnant, recovering from injury, or have a medical condition, consult a qualified professional before starting or changing a training programme.
8. Termination
- You can delete your account any time from Settings → Account → Delete account, or by emailing hello@forgefit.fitness.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, or where required by law. Where reasonable, we will give notice and an opportunity to fix the issue.
- On termination, sections 4 (AI), 6 (IP), 7 (Health), 9 (Disclaimer), and 10 (Liability) survive.
9. Disclaimer
ForgeFit is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We don't promise the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI output will be correct.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim relating to ForgeFit is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or USD $50 — whichever is greater. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of profit, data, or goodwill. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits — in those places, our liability is limited to the maximum extent the law allows.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you in-app or by email and update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Disputes will be handled by the courts of Victoria, Australia, unless mandatory consumer law in your country gives you a different forum.
